Dueback runs a hosted MCP server that gives AI agents bill-negotiation tools. One prompt connects it in most AI apps — and for apps that prefer manual setup, the short per-app steps are below. Either way there is no API key to manage: sign-in uses OAuth, and the app registers itself automatically.
Paste this prompt into Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Muse, or any other AI app that can add an MCP server:
Connect me to Dueback — add this MCP server: https://api.dueback.co/mcp/ (Streamable HTTP). Sign in with OAuth when it asks; no API key is needed. If you can't add a server directly, give me the exact steps for my app. Once connected, check whether any of my bills are negotiable.
What happens next: the app connects to Dueback's server and opens an OAuth sign-in the first time a case is started. Checking whether a bill is negotiable works right away, with no sign-in at all. A negotiation case only starts after the user has explicitly approved it in the conversation.
Dueback is an outcome-based bill negotiation service. It negotiates bills, fees, and subscriptions down on a user's behalf, then verifies every dollar saved against the user's bank data. It's free to try: the user pays only a share of verified savings (20% of first-year savings on recurring bills, 10% on one-offs, capped). If no savings are verified, the user pays $0 — and every case carries a 30-day reversion guarantee.
Every path below uses the same server:
In a Claude chat, the one prompt above also works: Claude can build the same connection from it and walk through any step it cannot complete on its own.
Or paste the one prompt into a chat and ChatGPT will give the exact steps for the app in use.
Paste the one prompt into a Muse chat. Muse builds a custom connector to Dueback for that user and connects it — custom connectors a user creates this way are theirs alone. If Muse offers connector settings instead, use the server URL above and sign in with OAuth.
One click installs the Dueback server:
Or add it to the MCP configuration by hand:
{
"mcpServers": {
"dueback": {
"url": "https://api.dueback.co/mcp/"
}
}
}
Agents built in Copilot Studio connect per agent, with OAuth dynamic registration — no client ID or secret. The dedicated walkthrough is at Add Dueback to Copilot Studio.
Point the app at the server URL above (Streamable HTTP). OAuth-capable clients register themselves automatically; a client that cannot do OAuth can use the API-key fallback below.
Most apps never need one — OAuth handles sign-in. For a client that requires a key, one can be created self-serve in about a minute:
https://api.dueback.co.detect_negotiable_bill
Checks whether a bill, fee, or subscription looks negotiable and explains the likely opportunity. Works without sign-in.
list_verified_savings
Public, aggregate statistics on savings Dueback has verified — useful for answering "does this actually work?" Works without sign-in.
start_negotiation_case
Opens a negotiation case. The user signs in with their own Dueback account, and a case is only started after the user has explicitly approved it in the conversation.
get_case_status
Returns a case's current state, the steps taken so far, and the savings verified to date. Users only ever see their own cases.
Dueback never negotiates without the user's explicit approval, and its fee is only ever charged on savings verified against the user's bank data. Bank connection happens inside Dueback's own secure flow — never inside an AI app or the chat. If a case needs a card on file or a consent confirmation, the user completes that on a secure Dueback page and the case opens automatically.
