Add Dueback to Copilot Studio

Dueback runs a hosted MCP server that gives AI agents bill-negotiation tools. If you build agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio, you can connect that server to your agent in a few minutes — no API key, client ID, or client secret to manage.

What Dueback is

Dueback is an outcome-based bill negotiation service. It negotiates bills, fees, and subscriptions down on a user's behalf, then verifies every dollar saved against the user's bank data. It's free to try: the user pays only a share of verified savings (20% of first-year savings on recurring bills, 10% on one-offs, capped). If no savings are verified, the user pays $0 — and every case carries a 30-day reversion guarantee.

Who this page is for

Makers and admins building agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio who want to give an agent the ability to check whether a bill is negotiable, open a negotiation case with the user's approval, and report verified savings. Copilot Studio connects MCP servers per agent, so you add Dueback to each agent that should have these tools.

Before you start

Connect the server

  1. Open your agent in Copilot Studio and go to Tools → Add a tool.
  2. Choose Model Context Protocol and add a new MCP server.
  3. Enter a name (for example, Dueback) and this server URL:
    https://api.dueback.co/mcp/
  4. For authentication, choose OAuth 2.0 with Dynamic discovery. Copilot Studio discovers Dueback's authorization endpoints and registers itself automatically — there is no client ID or client secret to create or paste.
  5. Complete the connection and add the tools to your agent. Dueback's tools are discovered dynamically, so the tool list stays current as the server updates.
  6. Test it in the Copilot Studio test pane: ask "My internet bill just went up to $95 a month — is that negotiable?" The agent should call Detect negotiable bill and answer with a plain verdict.

The tools your agent gets

Detect negotiable bill

detect_negotiable_bill

Checks whether a bill, fee, or subscription looks negotiable and explains the likely opportunity. Works without sign-in.

List verified savings

list_verified_savings

Public, aggregate statistics on savings Dueback has verified — useful for answering "does this actually work?" Works without sign-in.

Start negotiation case

start_negotiation_case

Opens a negotiation case. The end user signs in with their own Dueback account, and a case is only started after the user has explicitly approved it in the conversation.

Get case status

get_case_status

Returns a case's current state, the steps taken so far, and the savings verified to date. Users only ever see their own cases.

Consent, verification, and money

Dueback never negotiates without the end user's explicit approval, and its fee is only ever charged on savings verified against the user's bank data. Bank connection happens inside Dueback's own secure flow (via Plaid) — never inside your agent or the chat. If a case needs a card on file or a consent confirmation, the user completes that on a secure Dueback page and the case opens automatically.
